«Byzantine routes» Photo Exhibition in St. Petersburg and Veliky Novgorod

ŔŃĹÂ Association and the «Metropoli» Cultural Foundation with the support of the State Russian Museum is planning to hold a regular «Byzantine routes» photo exhibition continuing the series of «Cities – Heirs of Byzantium» photo exhibitions.

The exhibition will present new tourist routes developed by the Association, which formed the basis of the «Byzantine routes» in Italy; the project will be submitted to UNESCO:
– Sicily: Palermo – Monreale – Cefalu;
– Rome – Spoleto – Assisi – Perugia – Montone– Ravenna;
– Calabria: Rossano– Amendolara– Santa Severina.

Each route is conceptually associated with a certain event of the Byzantine history or a historical figure.

The exhibition will present authorship photographs and the photographs from the «Cities – Heirs of Byzantium» album issued by the Association.

The exhibition opening ceremony will take place in St. Petersburg on October 2, in the Coffee House of the Summer Garden.

It will be open to the public until October 30, 2014.

A photo exhibition in Veliky Novgorod will be held simultaneously with the exhibition in St. Petersburg.

The opening date is October 4.

The guests of honor at the exhibition will be the representatives of administrative bodies of Italian small towns and the representatives of Italian tourism business.
