Venice Carnival 8th -11th February 2013

Participation of the Russian delegation at the Venice Carnival has already become a good tradition. For the third time welcoming Palazzo Contarini della Porta di Ferro opened its doors to the guests of Metropoli Foundation. The celebration began: climbing the stairs of XIV century, towards the sunny outdoor terrace of the Palace, leaving behind all the bustle and business, guests gladly were taking pictures with a glass of Prosecco against the background of Venetian roofs.

The next morning Palazzo became a huge wardrobe of the XVIII century. Costumes were prepared before, considering all the wishes of guests: someone has realized his childhood dream and became a Musketeer, someone ordered a gold embroidered lords coat and ladies' dresses were amazing.

A company of Signors and Signoras, reincarnated in their characters, went to a masquerade ball «AL RIDOTTO» at Hotel Monaco & Grand Canal. In the magnificent Palace Dandolo, in the light of hundreds of candles, a live orchestra, opera singers and actors entertained guests during the dinner, decorated in the style of the time of Giacomo Casanova. The culmination of the evening was the performance of "Forbidden pleasures of Casanova", which was presented to the public by "Theatre 7" with orchestra Offerta Musicale and Padova Danza.

Real event was the final magic night of Carnival 2013 at the candlelight ball Mascheranda, that took place in the charming Palace of Venice, overlooking the Grand Canal, surrounded by frescoes of XVIII century.

In the hall of the main saloon was offered an aperitif, and then emcee of the ball invited guests to the upper floors of the saloon Guarana, where was the gala dinner, accompanied by classical music, dancers and Comici Dell Arte. At the end of the dinner, the maestro of the ball, invited all the guests to the ballroom where started dancing of the Serenissima Republic era, which lasted until dawn, and all around there was an atmosphere of seduction and pleasure.
