During the celebration of the 878 anniversary of the city of Tver in a solemn ceremony the delegation of the Foundation Metropoli presented the photo Album Cities Heirs of Byzantium to the mayor of the city of Tver' Korzin Alexander. The ceremony, as well as the delegation of the Foundation and delegations from different Russian cities, was attended by representatives of Bulgaria, Belarus, Hungary, Germany, China, Ukraine and Finland.

The City of Staraya Ladoga has unique cultural objects, created in the tradition of Byzantine culture, such as the Monastery Nikolo-malitskiy, church in honor of St. Grand Duke Mikhail of Tver' and others.

During the meeting between the administration of the Tver’ and the Foundation Metropoli bilateral cultural exchange between the Italian cities and Tver’ was discussed.
