8 September, the delegation of the Foundation Metropoli was welcomed by the mayor of the city of Lipari Mr Marco Giorgianni. During the meeting the possible cultural, economic and tourist bilateral exchange was discuseed. In the framework of implementation of the program of ACEB for 2014 - 2016 the mayor invited delegations of Russian cities to participate in the first event organized by the city of Lipari "Black Sails", a cultural event during which there will be demonstrations and exchanges recipes of Sicilian cuisine, concerts and exhibitions. The mayor and the Alderman of Culture and Tourism Mr Roberto Cuccia expressed a desire to visit the Russian cities to establish a bilateral multi-directional cooperation in the Culture, in the Tourism and in the local economy.

Mr Giorgianni expressed willing to send the resolution of the council at the required time.

After the meeting the delegation of the Foundation Metropoli was accompanied to visit the Cathedral of Lipari and the Norman cloister where we can still admire Byzantine references.

After the visit, to the delegation was offered lunch and it was a time to enjoy the typical Aeolian food.
