30-31 August 2014. Festival of Great Travelers

The third Festival of great travelers was held on August 30-31 in the town of Aleksin, the Tula region. A participant of the festive and business events was the “Metropoli” Foundation. The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by Tatiana Rybkina, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Tula region, Sergei Kharitonov, an honorary citizen of the Tula region, and Natalia Braginskaya, a representative of the “Metropoli” Foundation.

The festive program consisted of a carnival procession and a spectacular float boat parade.

Within the scope of the cultural program the “Metropoli” Foundation arranged a photo exhibition representing a new tourism direction named the "Byzantine routes." At the business meeting of the Tourism Coordinating Council of the Ministry of Culture of the RF Natalia Braginskaya told about the future development of the "Byzantine routes" as a new tourism strategy uniting all those who are fond of history and informative tourism.
