Venice Carnival March 6–9, 2011

Venice Carnival is one of the most beautiful festivals in the world, but, having arrived here, it is important not to get lost among the many thousands of people coming to Venice during this time, and to participate in the main events of the carnival.

Taking this circumstance into account, the fund prepared a special program for its members and guests. Guests took part in two balls and visited the Querini Stampalia Fund – a richest collection of works of art, opened specially for the guests. The first ball – after-dinner Cotillon – took place at Danieli Hotel. Before the ball, guests were free to choose their costumes from the famous Tiepolo Atelier, while those wishing had a lesson of old-time dances. The next evening Venice gave Gran Gala Internazionale di Fine Carnevale – the main ball arranged on the occasion of carnival end, and the guests, certainly, were among those invited to this superb celebration taking place at Palazzo Pisani Moretta, whose windows look to the glorious Grand Canal.
